| This has been labeled as an absolute killer flamenco-prog album, so naturally I had to pick it up. At first I was disappointed. I was expecting lots of prominent flamenco guitar, but most of the flamenco stylings are in the keyboards. Indeed, most of the album is keyboard-led; this isn't usually my thing, but here it's done very well, and the keyboards aren't too electronic-sounding. When the flamenco guitar does pop up, it's very nice. The melodies here are very bright and upbeat; overall the music is quite mellow but still quite engaging. The vocals are well-done and pleasant, and overall this is a nice reflection of flamenco music, done very differently from Triana and the like; highly recommended to anyone looking into Spanish prog. I still miss the prominent flamenco guitar... review by Brandon Wu 11-8-99
